Kaziranga National park is home to five famed mammals – the Asiatic Elephants, Swamp Deer, Indian Rhino, Royal Bengal Tigers and Water Buffalo. From Kaziranga to Guwahati it takes 5 hours to get there. For those who come from Tawang it is not possible to arrive in a single day from Tawang. The jeeps take about 8 hours to get to Bomdila and about 16 hours to get to Tezpur. Next day you can continue to the Kaziranga National Park. Frequent buses leave from Tezpur towards Kaziranga and take 2 hours to arrive.

The best time to visit Kaziranga National Park is between the months of November and April. The climate of the Kaziranga National Park in the summers is too hot and during the monsoons the park remains closed.
