The public health standards in India have gone for a toss. On one hand, there are various efforts to improve public hygiene and sanitation facilities but still, many health issues are plaguing the country, which need to be countered on an urgent basis.

These issues are centered more or less on drinking water and its contamination. Water is contaminated either at the source or during the transportation to the eventual user- in this case the person who is filling water from a tap. If this water is not purified with a water purifier, the chances of waterborne diseases increase immensely.

Water purifiers are slowly and steadily becoming popular among the modern consumers in India. A better lifestyle and the need to safeguard family members from water-borne diseases are the reasons for the increasing use of water purifiers.

Once the need for a purifier is accepted, the hunt begins for finding the best purifier in India. In this case, people are usually confused with varying levels of information, in regards to the purification stages, the storage capacity of the tank, warranty period, etc. These factors need to be carefully studied and compared in order to make a smart choice when you buy a water purifier.

Your guide to buy water purifier in India

There are two ways to go about this task. First is the more traditional method of going to offline stores and enquiring about the various models of purifiers. Second and the more preferred option nowadays is to buy water purifier online. You can read the description of the product along with the filtration technology employed for the same. This can give you a clear idea to determine your buying decision and make a good choice for your family members.

In this article, I will be sharing some cool tips to plan your travel on a limited budget. I will also share some tricks that will help you to plan trips to experience India more frequently, even if you have a shortage of budget.

How to Travel On a Low Budget

1. Plan Your Trip on Off-Seasons

I know many people will not agree with me, as pick seasons are always good to enjoy the place to the fullest. But when we are talking about budget travel, then let me tell you that during pick seasons you will find it very difficult to get an affordable hotel room.

Besides that, you have to put extra effort into everything like food, good view from the room, sightseeing etc. The obvious reason is, there is a huge demand by default and that is why they tend to charge you more money.

But if you are a smart traveler, I am sure you will agree with me that the best time to explore any place on this earth is during off-season. Due to fewer crowds, you can easily access the premium facilities at a very cheap price. And on top of that, the peace of mind and freedom you will get during such time is simply awesome.

How to Travel On a Low Budget

2. Plan Your Trip in Advance

If you agree with my first point, then now get ready to plan your trip. As I said, during peak season due to high demand you will hardly get an offer. But if you are targeting the off-seasons, then definitely you will get huge offers and promotions, especially for flight tickets and hotel booking.

I still remember last year I got an offer to visit Andaman from Hyderabad @ Rs 2,000 per person. But anyhow my plan did not capitalize due to some priorities.

So, start tracking the flight tickets in advance and make your plan ready. So that as soon as you get any good offer, you can simply book your itinerary.

how to enjoy vacation with family at home

3. Try to Find Out Cheap Accommodations

Accommodation is one of the major travel expenses in every travel plan. So, get cheapest rooms and try to spend less on hotel rooms. There is no point in spending for premium services when you are on a trip as you will just stay in the room at night to get a good sleep. Rest of the day you will simply roam the places.

Then why to spend much on premium or luxury services? Try to find out good, family-friendly accommodation. For e.g. you can go for a room share concept or try to find out someone who is renting out their room for few days in a good locality rather than in any hotel or lodge.

So, these are few of the tips which will surely help you to manage your travel within budget. And in this way, you can also save money and plan multiple trips in a year. Travelling as hobby is a must to get refreshed after a long monotonous schedule of our lives. So, plan smartly with these travel tips and get rejuvenated.

We always face some problems even after making the full preparation for a trip. This is because we do not plan in the right way and for not making the right preparation. Whether the trip is in winter or in summer there are the basic preparations that we should always consider before we go out for the trip. Let us check the most important but forgotten things to do for a vacation outing.

How to use Fashionable Diaper Bags in Traveling?

how to pack light travel luggage tips and tricks

4. Check the weather forecast

Most of the travelers suggest checking the forecast one week before the trip. But I recommend checking the forecast immediately before you leave your house. Because you may understand the mood of your girlfriend but you cannot predict the mood of nature. So, make sure the weather is on your side before you step out.

5. Have a safe journey

We only care about safety things when we plan for hiking or trekking or cross-country cycling. But anything could happen even you are in the richest city. So, it is recommended to bring the first aid tools and kits with you whenever you are on the trip. Your basic first aid kits can reduce the amount of injury that could happen for not having first aid kits.

So, these are most important trip preparation for every traveler. You should never forget that a safe journey will help you to plan for another new journey.

I had fallen hard. I should have taken my time getting up. I didn’t know the status of my tailbone yet, but my plans lay shattered. I was on my way to Gangtok, on a sort of personal pilgrimage, to relive the best years of my childhood in Sikkim.

Having grown up in the army, being part of a community of drifters, I was likelier to have reunions with places rather than people, and Gangtok was my teenage crush. Which is why slipping near a waterfall, straight into the water, was a huge dampener, pun not intended.

Now I was worried I would not be able to climb the stairs in Lal Bazaar, or endure the trek to my old home in Burtuk. I was worried I would have to skip Palzor Stadium, and Penengla, and my school too. I wanted, so badly, to meet Gangtok, but I could hardly walk two steps without wincing.

There was a time when I could conquer the steepest of stairwells and they are ubiquitous in Gangtok without breaking a sweat. The memory of those days was still alive in my legs and so, there was hope still. My classmate, Sonal, had once counted the number of steps we climbed each day. Almost one thousand. Our school was in the valley, in the cantonment, four kilometres from the bus stop.

We would rush down the hills in the morning, for our bus was always late, and what wonderful names those buses had! Shaan-e-Sikkim, Lachung Mail, Khatara. The first two were plush, almost luxurious, with big windows through which floated in thick mist (which then disappeared into the mouths of the less shy).

Music played on the speakers, mostly Bollywood, sometimes Bhojpuri, whenever the driver with the handlebar moochh was on duty. There were so many songs that I first heard on the way to school. I still remember the grey, drizzly morning when I was hit by the beauty of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga...

After school, Sonal and I used to run up the road to grab window seats. We had devised a way to beat the others. We would run and chant, sometimes made-up words, the rhythm growing faster and faster till we were practically flying. Our feet loved the challenge; it always worked!

It was the magic of those carefree days that I wanted to relive. It was that magic that I tried to capture in my book. Unlike Saba, I never D-A-T-E-D a boy who made my heart flutter like prayer flags in the wind, who whistled pahadi dhuns while the Kanchenjunga blushed. I wish I had. What fun it would have been to make the aunties go psst psst, to make the (impossibly fashionable) local girls go green-eyed.

I wish I knew a boy from Mayo who could make the TNA boys give me a second look. Alas, all that did not happen. All the boys fell for Sonal. I was left with stories.

I wish I could go on writing, but my tail-bone still hurts after all these years.
